Professional Development & Discovery Workshops – Methods
Sustainable Wellbeing and Writing Practices
Sustainable Wellbeing is an important professional development topic promoted in the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014 document, the Happy Planet Index and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) 2011 publication, Measuring Wellbeing.
A shared vision is vital for the success of any organisation; therefore the range of workshops I offer in sustainable well-being provide participants with skills, knowledge, bodywork, breath and mindfulness strategies which can be used in the forefront of organisational culture to support employee wellbeing; balancing organisational goals with professional commitment.
Sustainable wellbeing can be expressed through feeling greater satisfaction, autonomy, vitality, physical health, self-esteem, confidence, emotional health, economic health, connectedness and trust in supportive relationships at work, community, immediate family and with self.
Writing Practices for Professional Development
I have developed a unique approach to my workshops in which I combine a range of professional writing activities with body work to explore sustainable wellbeing and career development.
Writing practices for professional development include: Critical Reflective Practice, Autobiographical/Narrative and Life writing methodologies, Poetical Representation and Collaborative Inquiry writing methodology.
