In 2013, I took a leap of faith and left a 25 year career in teaching and research in the university sector. To enhance my professional practice, I re-trained and currently work as a professionally qualified life coach. It is work I feel best expresses my love of supporting women and men through important transitions in their lives.
I also employ my extensive experience of teaching, facilitation and curriculum design to run Professional Development and Discovery workshops. They explore topical, industry relevant themes underpinned by creativity, risk and imagination. My work is distinctive and consistent with my values and purpose; values being to work with intellectual freedom, trust, connection, responsibility and appreciation, purpose being: to help people transform their lives.
Now in my fifties, having gone through the passage of mid-life, I feel the most empowered and creative as I have ever been. My wisdom and inner smile comes from having taken the biggest leap ever by jumping of the high speed train of work and life to walk a calmer more focused path.
My passion for narrative life writing, journaling, painting and writing poetry still continues. Music, birdsong and walking in nature bring contemplation and insights. These enliven my creativity and wellbeing.
